Western Oil Paintings

Working in oil, I focused on rich texture, movement, and light to capture both the vastness of the landscape and the quieter, more intimate moments within it. Rather than leaning into nostalgia alone, these paintings examine the tension between romanticized Western imagery and the lived reality of the land. The work draws from observation and memory, blending realism with subtle abstraction to create pieces that feel both grounded and atmospheric, inviting the viewer to reconsider what the “West” represents today.
